Why Support Is Needed

Living Waters operates through a balance of school income and donor support, but current needs go beyond what fees alone can sustain. In the first two months of 2026, total expenses reached approximately TZS 78.8 million, while income stood at TZS 70.4 million, creating a shortfall.

A significant portion of our costs comes from staff salaries and welfare (over TZS 41 million), including mandatory contributions such as NSSF, WCF, and medical support. We aim to support and fairly compensate our staff, but remain limited by available funds.

Daily operations also require steady spending on food, electricity, water, fuel, and maintenance, along with repairs to keep the campus functional. The Children’s Home alone requires over TZS 14.5 million for basic care within this period.

To keep education within reach for families, we maintain low school fees and provide books and learning materials at no additional cost. At the same time, we meet quarterly examination and government requirements, which add to operational expenses.

Donations help us bridge this gap, sustain daily operations, and continue serving without increasing the financial burden on the families we support.

How Contributions Are Used

Donations at Living Waters are directed toward clear, day-to-day needs that keep the schools, children’s home, and community programs running steadily. Based on recent expenditure (2025), funds are used across the following key areas:

Every contribution is used with care and accountability. Priority is given to essential needs that directly affect children, staff, and daily functioning. This structured use of funds allows Living Waters to continue operating consistently while keeping education and care affordable for the families we serve.

Ways to Support

Financial Giving

Monthly financial support helps sustain the daily work of Living Waters. These contributions go directly towards essential needs such as food, staff wages and health insurances, water & electricity bills, and examination fees. These consistent donations reduce monthly operational costs and help us run smoothly without accumulating debts.

In-Kind Donations

In-kind support is a practical way to contribute to special needs. These donations fund specific annual needs such as school supplies, clothing, sports equipment or are used towards infrastructure repair and maintenance.. Contributions can be planned in advance to match current requirements, ensuring they are used effectively and without waste.

Volunteering

Volunteering opportunities include assisting in classrooms, supporting children’s activities, helping in the orphanage, delivering special sermons or contributing skills in areas such as maintenance. Time spent on campus allows for meaningful engagement and adds value through practical help with presence and shared experience.

Campus Visits

Visitors are welcome to spend time on campus and see the work firsthand. Staying at Living Waters offers a simple and homely experience, with opportunities to interact with the community and understand daily life. Visits can be short or extended, and often include informal ways to participate. It is a way to connect personally with the work and contribute through presence and support.
